when something goes wrong with my blazer i always fix and i plan to keep it that way, but i also have an 02 with 56,000mi so knock on wood all of the money ive stuck into so far has been for general maintance which you cant aviod reguardless of the vehicle. now say in a few years when i have very high miles and the repairs start costing more than the vehicle is worth i would seriously consider buying a new vehicle.

See I'd like to put the money into it but I don't know what it's worth. Cosmeticslly it's pretty good. The paint is in decent condition, no rust what so ever. I just did the ball joints, upper and lower. The inside is pratically perfect with the exception of a small crack on the dash. The only issues it's got are the ones I've previously mentioned. Oh and I almost forgot, last winter I broke a chunk out of the bumper deflector, but I've got a new one. It just needs to be painted and put on. What would you say it's worth if I did decide to sell it? Like I said before I've got about 3000 total into it. That includes the initial price I paid for it and the repairs I've done. Hopefully I'll be able to get that back...

go to KBB.com if you want to find out what the value of your blazer might be.

I've done that, but like I said, it's got a few problems so I'm not too sure. I'd like to think street value on it is around 3000. Maybe when I sell it I'll just aim for 3500 and realistically get 3000. I don't know.

Well, I think it took a dump on me. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I blew a head gasket. I was making a left hand turn at a four way stop and all of the sudden the truck threw a service engine soon light and started running like garbage. There was a little bit of white smoke coming out of the exhaust, but not too much. It's really only when I'm on the gas, not at idle. At idle, the truck sounds like I've got a hot cam. Any suggestions?

Oh, and by the way, I was driving normally. I never drive it hard. The RPMs were probably around 2000 when it happened. It was just a normal acceleration.
