Cool Slow to take off after stopping/Not shifting

I have a 1997 4x4 chev. Blazer. I have had the tranny rebuilt but I am still having issues. For starters, My key sometimes will not come out. Also, sometimes (seems worse when raining) the check engine light will come on, and when I stop at a stop sign it's slow to take off RPM's go up and will not shift. I cleaned the EGR valve yesterday (and it needed it). Seemed to run fine, until this morning after driving it and it warmed up, check eng light comes on and same ole' thing again. Any suggestions would be great. Everything on this blazer, under the hood and underneath has been replaced in the last 2 yrs except the motor.

I went to autozone but like always the check engine light was off by then. I get up at 5 am when nothing is open, by the time I turn the car off and back on the light goes off. But, I will have it checked when I can catch it on and some place is open. Thanks

its possible the code is being stored into the computer. Get it scanned any ways with the engine light off.

I will take it somewhere else. The guy at auto zone told me it couldnt be scanned with the check engine light off. And my mechanic cant seem to find the issue either. Thanks for the advice.

you said its not wanting to take off when its rains...where are your rpms? and are they climbing very fast or are they kind of bouncing up slowly.
going like 0-60 btw lol and not hammering on it just normal speed up.

Yes it seems worse when it rains like moisture is getting somewhere. But it will do it when its dry too. Lol normal speed, RPM quickly goes to 2000. I can push the gas to the floor and its like something is holding it back from going.once it gets up to speed it runs fine just wont shift.

ok something i would check is the distributor.
only becuse if it gets wet it will cause a misfis therfore you dont have as much power and causing you motor to work more (higher rpms) to get at the speed you want.
plug and wires could cause this issue to but that you normally be more consistent. and the reason it still does it when its dry out could be becuse there still is moisture in the cap still causing a misfire.

what your explaining and very very similar to the same problems i was having with mine awhile ago and i replaced the cap and rotor and its cured it. ALOT cheaper then a transmission job to find out it had nothing to do with it.

Ok I will check that first. Like I said, tranny was already rebuilt. And I had a complete tune up a few months ago. And I was thinking they checked the distributor but maybe not and that will be my problem. Thanks for all the help!
