Default Small red lamp on dash

I dirve a 95 Jimmy and I don't know about this. My Jimmy has a red light on the dash that stays red when the vehicle is locked. I don't yet have the manual for something newer like a 98 Blazer. I have currently own 2 98 Blazers but don't really know about the red lens on the passenger side of the dash. Is this a security feature. Does it blink when the vehicle has been locked with the remote? I don't have working remotes for these Blazers and where would I get replacements Ebay?

Some blazers even with power door locks weren't equipped with RKE (remote keyless entry). Mine being one of them. That light you're speaking of is probably from an aftermarket alarm that was installed by a PO, or it's just a dummy light that was installed to LOOK like it has an alarm.

Dude, you totally need to upgrade to Mr. Fusion. So much more efficient!!! Plus you don't have to steal your Plutonium from the Libyans.

Default This is the red lamp on the passenger side.

This is the light in question. http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/...0Green/011.jpg

I took my Blazer to a shop today and had it on the lift. No sign of missiles. The previous owner must have fired them. Where can I purchase replacements and how do you install?

This is what I have in the 95. This looks after market.

The first one, in the speaker grille, is the light sensor for automatic headlamps. The second one, (red) is something aftermarket.
