smell antifreeze under hood

Default smell antifreeze under hood

can not find any leaks in or out but smell antifreeze when i open the hood

I had the same problem with mine, 9 out of ten it's one of two problems. The upper radiator hose is dripping where it goes to the neck on top of the intake. Or your lower intake manifold gasket is seeping externally.... Mine was both.

if gasket was leaking wouldn't i c it tho i looked all over ... how hard is it to change

- Not unless you keep your engine clean as a pin.
Basic definition of a 'seep' is a very low rate leak that evaporates soon after hitting heat and air .. thus the smell while no drips. Glycols are the last to evaporate.

It takes about eight hours for someone who knows what to do but hasnt done it before. There's all sorts of info on 'how to' and 'how I' on the net and on here.

i pulled off my air intake and i see antifreeze on top of the driver side intake going to do more cleaning to c if its the hose or intake manifold

Try the uv dye kit to test for leaks will make life easier

i have a 95 blazer, i smell it and i can seel lite run off under the truck but have know clue where its comming from. i know its not the water pump just hoping its not a freeze plug
