Hello and happy holidays to all
Recently(just before Christmas) I started to smell gas after driving it and parking. It goes away after a while but I am afraid that I have a leak someplace. I just read in this forum that there is a known problem with the spider injection system in the 4.3 V6. My question is. would a problem like this throw a code(CES light) be on, because there is no light on and no codes being active.

The fuel delivery system is not monitored by the OBDII system so it can't set a code or turn the light on. Checking fuel pressure and leakdown at the service port will tell if there is a leak in the pressure side of the system, not the return line.
