Default soft brake pedal

just got the front brake pads replaced on my 1996 blazer, 4by4 with abs(4.3l v6)
also replaced steering pitman arm, front ball joints, front brake hoses, master cyclinder, had the front rotors turned too,i replaced the rear axle and had the abs repaired(front harness broke)

now the problem is with the brake pedal
it is very soft, the abs dont quite kick in when they are supposed to,definetly do not feel like new brakes, you can put the pedal right to the floor, but it had better stopping power with the older worn out pads

i took it in and had gm bleed the brakes themselves but the problem came back a few days later

any ideas?

any help would be appreciated
thanks in advance

Something is definitely not right. It is possible that you got a defective master cylinder. Was all of this work done at the GM dealership? Make them find the problem. I wouldn't accept it. Take it back to them and since just about ALL of the system was replaced that I would think would cause this problem, it probably is a problem with the components that were installed.

Definitely sounds like a leak somewhere in the system or a defective brake master cylinder. Was it stopping good right after the dealership bled the brakes? There could be something that isnt completely tight and is letting air into the system slowly. Is there brake fluid dripping from anywhere?
