Spark Plug Replacement Question

Exclamation Spark Plug Replacement Question

i have a 2001 blazer with the 4.3L engine with 104K miles. what is the process for replacing the spark plugs (and should I replace the wires as well)? thanks for any help

Might as well do both,as you will probally rip a boot or 2 off the wires when you try to remove em. buy some wires,if you dont rip any boots reuse what you have and return the new ones.

Stay with ngk or ac delco on plugs,for wires,meh i havent had any problems on the cheap sets.

My experience has disproved the so-called Delco only ignition components,but do not buy the "economy stuff"! Any Standard ignition or Echlin products will serve well. Always use dielectric grease as well at the cap and the plugs. The #3 plug is really not bad as long as you are smarter than the iron you work on;all the hints are here on the forum. BTW:have fun and get to know your motor and you may end up enjoying yourself!

only things ignition related ive found that makes a difference is plugs,and ignition control modules. Other then that,ive used the cheapy caps,rotors,coils etc. never an issue. Now fuel pumps be both know ac delco or delphi only.


edit : also,OP if you manage to reuse the plug wires,after its done. Wait till its dark and go outside with a spray bottle with water. spray the wires down real good. If you dont notice any arching. Your set.
