Default Spots most likely to leak

Hey folks

I just went to a A/C shop to get my system evacuated and recharged and in the process the guy added some UV dye because the system is loosing a fair amount of pressure. There are some spots of dye on the steering gear. His guess was that there is a leak in the condenser area (or evaporator core, i always get those confused). But without taking the front of the car apart he couldnīt be more specific.
I just donīt want to pay a huge amount of money for something that might even not that big a problem or can be fixed or at least found by myself.

Are there commonly known weak spots of the Blazers A/C system in the mentioned area which are likely to leak?

If you have dye in the system, you really should get to the source. Pulling the grill and the front air dam (under the radiator) should provide enough access to look for the leak on the condenser. The only lines that are on the driver side of the truck near the steering gear box are what goes to the compressor. Both condenser lines are on the passenger side of the truck. Unless the condenser was damaged, it typically won't leak on the driver side.

Thanks for the response!

From what iīm reading it could be more likely the lines going to the compressor? I myself was thinking initially hoses or maybe gaskets.
After all the guy wasnīt specific. He just said "Condenser area".
