today i was breaking hard because a truck cut me off, and the abs kicked in, but would not let go of the brakes!!! i had to come to a complete stop before the brakes would release. Has anyone experienced this before?

 

well if your brakes wouldnt release that whould mean the abs didnt work, the abs should have been pulsing the brakes on and off quick to prevent a skid.

 

ya the abs worked, but as soon as i took my foot of the brake, it kept braking until i was stopped. my foot was completely off the brakes and it was still braking and slowing down.

 

how are your rear brakes? my abs kicks in sometimes no biggy but my rear brakes arnt great and depending on the time (totally randomly) my rear brake will "lock up" not as bad as yours like big clunking and sunned stopping, i know my rear brakes are junk just dont have money to fix, you have drum rears? id check them out.

 

Chances are something in the ABS system is failing. The controller is $1500. You probably just want to pull the ABS fuse and be done with it. I'm experiencing similar issues at the moment myself.

 

ya so i got the abs disabled and its fine now... well that is, not locking up anymore. They said they could not bleed the rear brakes and im gonna have to take it in again later.
