This is my challenge,FOR YOU Iam working on a 95 s10 That stopped running on the sde of the road, It acted like it ran out of fuel,The truck cranked but would not start but when you let the key off from cranking it backfired through the throtte body.I towed it home put in the shop and charged the battery I could not hear the fuel pump run so I added 4 gallons of fuel, Still no pump Run, I checked the fuses under the hood and found a bad ECM fuse, I replaced it,I can now hear the fuel pump, I did a pressue check on the pump and found the required 6-8 psi, I cranled the truck and it started but ran poorly for 30 seconds and stalled with a backfire through the throttle body no restart possilble I then checked the timing chain for stretch by rotating clockwise setting a mark and then counterclockwise until the distribitor rotr moved I had 30 degees of slack I pulled the cover and the pics show the difference I relaced the chain and sprockets and put it all back together along with new rotor and cap,Still won,t run I will buy lunch for the one who tells me what is wrong I have a strong consistant spark but no fuel coming out of the injectors and the pump runs and has pressure;; fuel filter changed

We need to know the 8th character of the VIN. If it is "W" 6-8psi fuel pressure is a problem. This thread explains: https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-ge...eakdown-88305/ Post all 4 readings and we can analyze them. We also need to know if the plug wires attach horizontal, or vertical, on the distributor cap. Two different systems were used in 1995, and diagnosis is different between them.

30 degrees slack in the timing chain???? How many miles are on it? These engines will go 300K+ miles and still have less than 15 degrees.
