Default Starting problems

I searched and serached but haven't found a similar problem.
I have a 2000 2dr 4x4 with 79k miles.
Here are my two problems.....
The engine starts up every time but 6 out of 10 times, it has a hard start. It's hard enough to shake the vehicle. Pretty much just as long as I have the ignition turned, no rough idle or anything after I let go of the key. Another weird thing I noticed is maybe 1 out of 10 times when I start it, it feels very weak, like no gas is getting to the engine for about the first 5 seconds and then feels fine.

Is it possible that the rough/shakey start up is due to bad motor mounts?

As for the weak start up...I had the fuel filter replaced about 30k miles ago, new altinator about 20k miles ago, new distributor cables about 9k miles ago and battery replaced about 3 years/30k miles ago.

Any suggestions as to what's wrong?

Default RE: Starting problems

I think the motor mounts might be a good place to start looking for the shakey start-up, also.
For the other problem, check the fuel pressure by connecting a gauge to the schraeder valve on the inlet line at the top rear of the engine, turn the key to 'on'. The pressure should be ~55-62 psi. Turn it off and make sure the pressure does not drop more than ~2-5 psi.
Also, change the fuel filter again. Let us know what you find.
