Default Stock Catalytic Converter

I have a 2000 GMC Jimmy SLS that has the stock exhaust w/ 1 exception. It has a universal cat that has a nasty rot spot. I want to replace the cat but am having trouble figuring out which ones will work. My question is, what is the best fit "inlet and outlet" for a replacement? I am also seeing some sites that say "Location: Front" or "Location: Rear" Which one would I choose?

Thanks for your help!

Unless your 2000 has cali emissions, you should only have one catalytic converter. The pipe size is 2.5" IIRC so any 2.5 in/out converter will weld/clamp into position.

Betcha what he is talking about is a pre-cat-but an aftermarket company or GM should be able to tell if that vehicle had one originally. Jerry
