Default Strange 4x4 problem not working at all

1995 Chevy Blazer with push-button 4x4 and OBDII. Aside from the 4x4 everything runs great. My problem is I have absolutely no 4x4 lights sounds etc. I've never seen a 4x4 light in the dash. The led's in the 4x4 switch have never lit up (the switch is good, I tested it with a multimeter). There is current going to the 4x4 in the fuse panel and the fuse is good, but no current going to the actual 4x4 switch on the dash.

All the wiring/connections appear to be in excellent condition from the TCCM to the one going to the TCM. The car was owned by my grandfather and passed on to me when he passed away. It was always serviced every 3,000 miles taken care of and garaged. My grandmother didn't even know it was 4x4 so I have no idea when/if it even worked last.

Does power feed from TCCM to the switch?

Also, there is 3 relays behind the glove box the furthest right one is missing I haven't been able to find out what it is for yet.

Got it working, there's a lot of mixed/wrong information on this forum as far as what parts are in what year Blazer and being a 3 or 4 button switch.

Glad you got it fixed. The information isn't wrong per say, just not completely applicable for your year. Most of the 4wd information that is posted pertains to the '98+ vehicles. But citing examples of what you found as 'mixed' could help clarify some points for you. You also have to look into the context of posts, especially the year of the vehicle in the author's post.

Maybe you could post what you did to correct the problem to help others (and the forum as a whole) out...

Been a while since this post, but what it wound up being was a disconnected wire coming from the 4x4 push button.

Originally I had ripped the dash out to replace the TCCM (it's not in the passenger kicker panel btw like a few posts lead me to believe for 1995 models) and after replacing the 4x4 switch didn't work. Had I paid closer attention to the wiring I might have caught it initially.

A few posts also had me off trying to hunt down a separate 4x4 fuse under the driver side hood which didn't exist.

Vacuum actuator was in really good condition. Vacuum switch was in good condition, vacuum lines look a little rough compared to everything else being in relatively excellent condition but were fine.

Wound up giving up on it for a few months before I gave it another go as I knew it had to be something electrical at this point.
