My wife called me this morning at work to let me know that
on this unusually balmy New Orleans morning she went to open her sunrrof
and it made a crunching sound and will not open.
She stated that when she closed it, it did not go into the partially open mode it usually goes into if you push the button towards the closed position again when it is closed.
How can I check for obstructions?
What are the best troubleshooting techniques?
Please help folks..

There is a gear that moves the sunroof, I think it's plastic, and it likes to break.
I would start by checking that out.
