Default Sunroof Wind Deflector Parts

2005 ZR-2 w/Factory-installed power sunroof.

When I open my sunroof the front wind deflector pops-up like it's supposed to but it rises too high and then flutters at anything over 30 MPH. The lady in my life has her own 2004 Blazer with the identical sunroof and her deflector works fine.

I studied the two trucks and discovered that there are pivoting plastic rise-limiters at both ends of the deflector. Hers are there, mine are missing. I went to the Chevy dealer to get some and was told that they weren't listed anywhere in GM's parts database...go figure.

So I did some research and discovered that a company named Webasto built the sunroof assembly for GM and shipped it to the factory for assembly into the vehicle. I was hoping that I might be able to get these little plastic devils from them. I have contact information for them but I can't seem to find anybody who will talk to me.

Short of stealing them off my lady's truck (NOT!), I don't know what to try next. I'm thinking about inventing some sort of work-around to control the deflector but operating clearances are tight in there & I don't want to risk damaging the rest of the assembly.

These little sh*ts look failure-prone and I just can't believe that replacements aren't available somewhere.

Anybody have any experience with this? Any solutions? Thanks.

I would try the junk yard. Most junk yards are full of blazers.
