Default Swap 4.3 from Savana

I have 1999 Blazer with 4WD, I found a 4.3 out of a 2000 Savana and want to install it in the blazer. Is this a direct swap? If not what would I need to do to do the swap?

Thanks
Rich

Got the engine in and ran for a few blocks and then died. It has good fuel pressure. No spark. Im going thru the 98+ No-Start now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes, it pretty much is a direct swap.

At the most, a CASE relearn (search "case+relearn") would need to be done to calibrate the PCM to the new/different timing components in the replacement engine. The PCM doesn't really care what is in there, it just has to know how to operate it properly. An engine swap like this should not require a different PCM.

As far as why you are not getting spark, check over all of the wiring. A loose connection to the CKP sensor or damage to its wiring can cause a no-spark condition.
