some of you may be familiar with my predicament, if come across a cheap motor and i am having issues with my motor thats in my 5spd 99 zr2, sooo plan is to just swap with my new motor that came from an auto 04 jimmy.

so heres the question, when i bought the new motor it came with the ecu, and wiring harness from the 04. if i just had the new ecu reprogrammed for my 5 speed tranny, could i just swap in the new harness and ecu along with the motor?

OR

would it be a better route to use my original ecu and harness, and tune out the egr from the computer, and change the knock sensor?

if anyone knows of any issues with swapping the harness please speak up!
