Default switching from 4WD back to 2WD

I just completed the bravada front axle swap and have another question that I don't think I asked before, I hope not anyways. I test drove Blazer after the swap and it seems to engage 4WD wheel drive now. I also tried raising right passenger wheel and it does not spin around now while in 4WD, where before it did when i pushed button. So now when I try to go back into 2WD drive, the front right wheel still does not spin around. Is this normal now that the bravada AWD axle is in or might there be another resaon? Thanks again.

the axle does not spin by hand? or the motor wont spin it? The Bravada's axle doesnt have a vacuum actuator to disengage it so it will always be live. It may be difficult to spin only 1 wheel up because of that.

The axle/wheel does not spin by hand when I press 4WD button which means 4WD is engaged, right? I took out all the vacuum actuator, cable, and tube, collar and replaced it with the AWD axle and tube. It drives in 4WD. I read that to test if the axle is engaging, to raise right front tire while in 4HI and truck idling in park and see if wheel spins by hand. If it don't, then the axle was engaging and in 4WD. And when in 2WD drive it should spin by hand, indicating that 4HI was disengaged. That was when I had the two piece vacuum actuated axle/tube in. Now that I have the bravada axle in, it does not spin by hand when in both 4Hi or 2WD, but it drives fine. so my question is, that normal? I'm not quite sure what "live axle" means but thanks for the help.

This seems normal, live axle may not be the right term, but the bravada axle is always engaged so it wont want to spin 1 wheel freely. However it will drive fine because it was designed to be like this.
