Is there any way I can syfin gas out of my 98 2dr blazer. There is something in the tank stopping me from doing it, any help would be appreciated

Disconnect the fuel filter and direct the line into a suitable container. Key on the pump and it'll drain. Besides that, you would have to disconnect the fill tube at the tank to get past the anti-siphon valve.

I figured it out all you got to do is go to lowes and get a thick plastic flexible tube and push through the anti syfen device. Then run your syfin through that tube.

Did you find the ball before or after 'just pushing it through the device'?

I found it after taking out the second defective airtex pump after I had pushed it through with the hard plastic tubing. The anti-syfen device may stop an undetermined crook but ultimatly is an unsafe device considering dropping the tank with 19 gallons in it is not safe at all!

Anything done with improper tools and equipment is unsafe. With the proper equipment, dropping a full gas tank can be as safe as any other vehicle repair.

How long do you think it would take to drain 19 gallons at the fuel filter?[sm=icon_rofl.gif]

Probably the same amount of time to run a siphon... But of course that is only if the pump works...
