Default tach not working

last summer i was in a small fender bender while doing some off-roading, and since then my tachometer has not worked. i do not need a tach but it really bothers me that it is not working, and i like the look of the guage cluster with the tach, so i do not want to put in a cluster with out it. my ses light put off a code for the cam position sensor, and i replaced only for the light to come back on later that day. i replaced the crank sensor and it still does not work. is it a bad guage or am i over looking for something.
thank you in advance, i love this forum and it has helped me out many times, so i trust you guys

some more info on your vehicle would be great so we can help you out even more but i would say you damaged a sensor in the accident because i can't see how an accident could make the cluster go bad....if you really want to you can drop by my place and try the extra cluster i have laying around just to see if it works...if you want to shoot me a PM and i will get back to you!

BTW im in rochester hills so not far away

Edit: i looked at your profile and found some pics of your blazer and the cluster i have will for sure work in yours if you want to try it.
