Temperature Control Selection Switch PROBLEM??
I put in a new mode switch and it does change now but still blows out the dash all the time and checked the actuaters under the dash and they move when you change the dial. Also when you turn it on defrost it does not blow out the defroster as hard as it should.
Any ideas would be apreciated.
Thanks

The only problem is the temp climate cluster keeps going bad...I have replaced it with different ones from the junkyard twice and it will work for a few months and then go bad again....with the hissing and loss of ability to change air direction. Have no idea why they keep going bad. Could it just be coincedence? It is so annoying.
I am assuming that you have the same manual temperature control HVAC head unit in your truck as the OP of this thread..? Sounds like it due to the presence of vacuum at the HVAC head unit.
Have you tried taking the vacuum selector switch apart and seeing what's inside? Maybe you can replace the seals with some hardware store replicas..? I might have to pick one of these up the next time I'm at the pick-n-pull yard and just see if it can be done. That is unless you beat me to it! If you take it apart, take some pictures and post them up!!

Not sure what you are waiting for? If there is a vacuum leak, the control head is bad. You can either R&R the old ones to try and fix the leak, continue with the junkyard parts; possibly have them break quickly on you again, or get a new replacement.
ok if you are talking about the control head being the blower speed, temp control, air direction panel, I have replaced that twice already cause the hissing comes back and then again...I cant change the direction of the air. I am sorry but I do not understand what I am supposed to replace now. Yes I do understand there is a vacuum leak but as soon as I put a new one in, it is fixed...until it breaks again.
