RE: third stop light removal
according to haynes, the center-high mounted brake light on 4 dr models uses special bulbs that must be replaced by the dealer

I think I have LED module. And I do not want to repace bulbs but to remove all module to do some wires modifications.

I don't know if yours is the same as mine, but if it is mounted to the roof of the truck, I think all you have to do is remove the screws holding it down. You will have some holes in the roof you may need to seal up to keep water from getting into the vehicle. To get to the electrical connection, you may need to remove the rear upper trim panel inside...

Thanks. It looks easy but after removing the screws I wasn't able to move light. So maybe easier is to remove trim inside. Is it simple?

RE: third stop light removal
If you cannot remove the light with the screws out, it is mostlikely due to the gasket holding the light on. I would try to gently pry the light up with something flexible and non-marring between the gasket and the body of the truck (so you don't scratch it). The only thing that retains the light to the body is the screws. From there, it's just the light, the gasket, and the body... Nothing mechanical holding it.

third stop light - resistor
And maybe you know if the resistor of the third stop light is inside of the light or mounted separetely?

RE: third stop light - resistor
From the wiring diagram (see attached), I cannot tell if it is inside or separate...

RE: third stop light removal
[sm=exactly.gif] I just removed 3 of them tonight off of different vehicles (long story).
Remove the screws and grab it and twist/tilt it until it comes off. Use some muscle! If that doesn't work, try the non-marring prying technique suggested above. The only things holding the light to the truck are 2 screws and a gasket. Man-up on it a bit! *Combining consecutive posts* [sm=youreright.gif] (Rooster...LOVE yer avatar!!) Dealer quoted me $125 for this POS today....uninstalled....part only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [size=1]*EDIT by swartlkk* - Combined consecutive posts. RE: third stop light removal
