Default Throttle Body Studs

Okay, I need help separating the rear throttle body stud from the spacer that is on it. When I got the spacer out the stud came with it. I need to take the spacer out of the stud and put the stud back in. Any clues how? This pos spacer on the stud is pissing me off big time. I've tried wd-40, pb blaster, pliers, wrenches, etc. and the spacer isn't budging off the stud. From holding the pliers so tight on the threads of the stud, it may have some... less than efficient threads now. I tried to buy a propane bottle and torch today, but when I got it home it no lighty. And before you say you need an outside spark to light it, this torch has a push button ignitor. So I'm pretty pissed that a brand new product doesn't work either. Any help?

Edit: sorry I missed where you said you need the stud. Either try to cut the spacer down to the stud on each side or buy a new one and save the frustration.

Do you need the stud? If not, I would cut off the ends and drill it out. Sounds like you have tried everything else. Sorry not much hep.

Okay, so you wouldn't try to heat it up and then take it off. What would you cut it with? A sawzall seems overkill lol. Something more like a Dremel? or a grinder or what?

And suppose I wanted to go the buy a new stud route. Where would I find a new stud for the throttle body? The chevy dealership only sells them in a kit that is $50 plus shipping. Would this piece work from Autozone?

Yeah I would try the heat first. If you have a dremel that's what I would use, you're right about the overkill. I looked at your link it looks like it should work however I don't know if the thread size and pitch is correct.

Nothing is working! :/ PB Blaster didn't work. Heat didn't work. This is frustrating. The blazer has been sitting for several days because this $^%^^& spacer on the stud. I'm furious at this point and ready to melt this stupid spacer!

Just thought of this: can the dealer tell you the thread pitch, diameter, and length? If so just go to the hardware store and buy a bolt and grind it down, or a stud if you are real lucky.

Have you tried double nutting it so you can put 2 wrenches on it?

I finally got it off after soaking the sucker forever lol. But when going to put the new intake in, one of the tabs on the plenum broke. Of course that is the only thing to break and the only thing that they claim isn't covered under their warranty. They probably know that it is prone to breaking... Hopefully the tabs can be welded... But apparently the intake doesn't exactly fit in the space that it has. I'll post up some pictures a little later. I wish Spectre would of done a better job putting this kit together. This kit is a pita and also a pos! There is no need for a filter half the size of our engine...
