Tommorow Is The Day
Alright well if anyone knows the past problems my truck has been giving me skip this but ill list them again, it idles very rough, smells strongly of gas.
Now my mechanic says its a bad spider and the part has been ordered and its going in tommorow afternoon to be worked on friday. I was wondering if I should get a new set of plugs to have them put it because they said that when its running as rich as it is they are prob. fouled and causing the mis-fire.

If it were me, I would wait and see what it's like after the spider is in. If it still runs unevenly, you can always put them in yourself or take it back to him to install them. I doubt if he would charge you much less to put them in along with the spider compared to doing it later, but you might ask him about the price difference. Just be sure you use AC/Delco.
Well I just got the truck back and EVERY one of my problems is fixed, the new spider fixed it, im thrilled! It starts right up runs like new and does not smell like gas anymore, I couldnt be happier!
Yes, get those AC Delco plugs in. Few years ago, Bosch admitted even the Platinum 4's sucked in the 3800 engines. Heck, that might be true for all GM engines
