TPS and VSS - Do they typically fail?

I haven't had that checked out yet. I'm now dealing with the dreaded P0300 code that tripped last night. I'm going to check for vacuum leaks. I replaced the camshaft sensor (I had a P0302 code earlier yesterday). I do have a crankshaft sensor that will be delivered today as well since my old one is shot.
The overheating issue was caused by a radiator crack. I've since replaced my radiator and I'm no longer having overheating issues.

When the new crankshaft position sensor is installed you will need to have a crankshaft relearn done with a capable scanner. This will set the timing. Then a a camshaft sensor relearn should be done also. Good luck

Given your mileage issues, what are your short and long term fuel trims at idle and 2500 rpm? This can also help diagnose a vacuum leak.
Misfire codes mean that the crank sensors sees a velocity hick up. Could be spark, compression, fuel or vacuum.
Have you done a compression test?
Have you verified strong spark?
What is your CMP retard value?
George
