Default tramsmission problems

Hello guys I'm gonna try and explain what is wrong and I hope someone can help me. I have a 98 s10 blazer 4x4 It has been shifting hard between 1 and 2nd. I took it to my transmission guy...he builds all mine and he has been very good. He did an overhaul of the valve body where it tells it how much pressure to have..it did not help...he said and showed me this thing he also put inside the transmission that told it when to shift...that did not help. He told me it could be the tps or the temp sensor...I put them in it did not help. When it is first cold it still shifts hard but now when it gets warm it stays in 3rd. will not downshift and has no overdrive..going down a hill it goes to about 1200 rpms and flys down hill like it goes into neutral. I can put it manually into 3rd and it holds back but when starting from a stop it wants to start in 3rd. And now I can't get my key out and it will not cut off to get it out sometimes...and right now it is in there and I can't get the key out. If someone can help me I would really appreciate it. My guy tells me there is nothing wrong with the transmission internally it is a sensor problem...I am getting a little weary of it all. thank you for any help.

Is your speedometer acting correctly. Jumping around or anything?

Did he replace parts or did he bore anything out?

He bored out at least one and I am thinking maybe two and replaced some springs with cylindrical l ends on them. I think it was he told me there are two...but when he showed me the parts that were replaced there was only one spring with a plunger like thing on the end of it about as big as a pencil eraser, and the electrical switch that He also replaced in the transmission. thank you.

soulds as if it's going into limp mode. I also know the key isnt able to come out without power in the right places. Maybe it doesn't know what gear it's in? Will it start in drive or anything other than neutral or park?
