Default tranny rebuild help

OK so i am putting back my extra transmission but i have aquestion about the silver little *****, i forget what its called. But they reccommend that you put in 8 of the little *****, but in this one spot, if you look down, there is a little silver ball, what do i exactly do with it? do i leave it, do i take it out? is it supposed to be there? idk what exactly im supposed to do, is it counted as one of the 8?

The picture below shows the location of the 7 check ***** that go in the valve body. The 8th check ball goes above the separator plate in the transmission case itself. Not sure where exactly it goes, but where you have indicated may be it...
