Ordered a new Encoder motor and replaced so now i have working 4x4
Just done short testruns.
First thing i noticed is that it sound like the chain is dry so i wont drive anymore with 4x4 until i have checked that out and filled oil.
Second: Sounds almost like the chain isnt under enough tension ?! Does it have a tensioner or ?
Third: When i did sharp turn slow when in 4hi it almost sound like the chain is skipping a few teeth is it maybe called cogging ) ? ANy ideas ?

There is no tensioner on the chain in the transfer case. It could be that the shift fork for the front output inside the transfer case is not fully engaging onto the drive gear.
If the sound were coming more from the front, it could be a problem with the front axle engagement.
