I have a 96 Blazer that will not stay in Park. Its my sons vehicle so I only know what I see now. It starts in in Park but will move back and forth. I believe the parking pawl is broken?? There is no noise though there may have been(son is not mechanically inclined) . This is a 4.3 4x4. Is the parking pawl accessible by removing the pan? My driveway is on an incline so it could be the problem though I have never had an issue with a pawl breaking in any other vehicle.
