Default tune up Q's

alright I am doing a tune up

I am going to use
Mobile one oil (should I use synthetic, and/or lucas treatment)
dexron III atf (brand?)
rotor & cap ac delco

should I do a full sea foam if I do I would want to use cheaper oil since Mobile 1 isnt $ friendly and it would'nt be in there long is this a good idea, could sea foaming engine and tranny cause me any problems I have heard of gasket leaks after words is this possable from sea foaming (first foam kinda scared). just spent alot of money (see below) don't want to mess up anything and cost me more then I have to.

2000 ZR2 blazer 4.3 w
92,*** miles
K&N intake
high flow cat
40 series flowmaster (knock off)
jet performance power chip stage II
new plugs
new wires

If you want to do sea foaming you really should change the plugs after doing it. I use synthetic, but it basically up to your wallet. If you are in a cold place like I am synthtic will help some on the cold starts. As for the lucas some people swear by it some against it. Ive never used it until this last oil change. I added some to see if I could eliminate the cold temp knock at start. It didnt get rid of that, but it did get rid of my knock at 1500-1800RPM. If you dont have any problems you want to solve with oil than you can save the money and not get the lucas treatment. I would definitely go with delco for the cap and rotor many of the other ones have had many issues around here and they are only a few bucks more. Im running GM fluids dexron 6 since my tranny drain. I dont really see any benefits or cons to using it over dexron 3. Spec wise dexron6 is superior in almost all measuredaspects. Igot my fluidfrom my dealers parts desk they quoted me the wrong price which was lower than the walmart stuff, but they gave it to me for it. Check around and seewhat you can afford.

Do the seafoam treatment before you change the oil, then go to the synthetic of your choice.
