Wiring- go to autozones website. Enter your vehicle info and then click on teh Repair Info on the left side. Look for a link to "Repair Guides" in the text. Choose "Chassis Electrical", then select Wiring Diagrams. That should get you the info on the wiring diagram for your truck.
As for the water sound. I believe you have air in your heater core. You will need to verify that your overflow tank has plenty of coolant in it. Run the truck and crank teh heat on high, hopefully this will purge out all the air. If not you might have to do it another way. At the moment I don't know how else to purge the air. I think the Haynes/Chilton books cover it though.
If you have a Haynes/Chilton book, it also has the wiring diagram in the back. Well worth the $15 or so.

Got your emial. Looks like Autozone doesn't ahve your model year on line yet.
I looked in my '95-01 S10-Blazer & GMC Jimmy Haynes manual and it shows a Light Blue as negative, and a Dark blue as positive for the Right rear speaker. Those are the closest I have to purple and light blue.

See the attached image for the wiring schematic for a 2000 with no amp, which is probably what you have unless you have the high end stereo.
In the schematic, it shows yellow and brown as being the in-door wiring, but lt-blue and dk-blue as the wiring at the stereo... This image was grabbed from AllDataDIY.com
