I have a 2000 2dr 4x4 ZR2.
When driving and slowing down to about 10-20mph when the rpm's drop below 1,000 if I get back on the gas I get a clunck. It is the only time I really notice it.
Does this sound like a u joint or a tranny problem? Thanks.

u joint would be the cheapest and the easiest to fix yourself if needed and if ya know how to fix it yourself??

I figure I will have the dealer check the u joints as they are replacing the catalytic converter. I was just hoping someone could tell me if it sounded like a u joint problem or not.

sounds like a ujoint problem to me. most times clunking during gassing and breaking means ujoint problems.

Transmission shop checked it out. U joints are in good shape. Turns out it is normal, and there is a service bulliten stating this as seen on this forum. Thanks for the help.
