Unknown Connector

Unknown Connector
I'm trying to locate a trailer wiring harness under the back of my 2001 Blazer. Thought I had found it with this four terminal square connector, but when I went back to see if I can replace or splice into this connector with the flat four terminal connector my trailer has, I found that this connector plugs into a receptical for it anf the purpose is unknown...and why it was unplugged when I found it. Any ideas? I read where the wiring harness is supposed to be somewhere along the drivers side. I DO have a bumper mounted trailer ball that was there when I bought this blazer last month.

RE: Unknown Connector
Looks like either the the plug or the bundled wire on the left should be the trailer wiring harness, not totally sure, but I'll take a look up under my blazer later today.

RE: Unknown Connector
Thanks for your reply. It is just to the driver's side rear of the under car spare tire. Seems like a good place for the trailer cable...but it was already plugged into a jack for it and I cannot determine where I would hook up a trailer connector. It was unplugged when I found it...I plugged it in, but cannot see any difference in lighting or where else it goes. I just lost a 97 Blazer to bad mechanic and resulting engine fire. That Blazer had the flat four wire connector I need. Just never had cause to look where it came from.
