Default Unknown Part PLEASE HELP

Its directly behind the alternator, it has a few elecctrical connectors and a what loks to be a vaccuum line hose. Its at te top of the engine. One of the three wires is broken off and it feels like a very hard steel silver wire not like a softer copper wire. I cant seem to post a pic of it. Its not accepting the upload. its a 96 s-10 blazer. It almost looks like a coil pack but i really dont know Please help.

That is your coil pack, and that's not a vacuum line, its the electrical line (forget the correct name) that goes to the distributor. (number 10 on the diagram) I would say just repair the wire or you could get a new connector end, it looks like you'd have enough slack to replace the end if you wanted.

Looks easy enough, just crimp the 2 wires back together, or solder if available

Thank you. would that wire that is broke or cut can cause any condition with the truck running. right now the gas tank is out. it did run before the tank was removed but did not run very well.

it very easily could since its for the coil pack, and could be whats causing your running issue.

I would have to do some searching, im not sure where it goes exactly, but i cant image why someone would cut that wire for any reason?? Id say just connect it and see what happens.
