what is this tube connected to the back of the intake hose

well if that guy plugs into the back of the upper portion of the air cleaner housing (in the back) i always just assumed it was a vac hose

That appears to be the main intake vac line. It is essentially the counterpart to the PCV valve on the other side of the engine.

It is the fresh air return to the crankcase. Basically, the PCV valve pulls off crankcase vapors. This is the vent to allow clean air back into the crankcase.

It was unplugged, and i was just wondering what it was

i got it plugged back in
