Default Vaccum Ball Question 96 can you use a ...

OK so i was replacing my vaccum lines and went to pull the live off of the vaccum ball and the nipple of the ball came off with the hose, so i was going to drill it out and jsut silicone it in the ball.. then i thought i would go to the nearest salvage yard to see if i could find one... Well no luck, question is i found one off a 93 s10 it is a bigger ball, it works but will it hurt anything? or is the ball size not going to casue me any problems, thanks.....

It is just a reservior to store up engine vacuum. Think of it as an air compressor tank. The larger size, if it fits, will have no impact on its performance in a negative way.
