Vapor pressure sensor/Fuel Tank Pressure sensor?
Ok so brought my car in they said i need a new "vapor pressure sensor in the gas tank" and soon ill need a new tranny but im sure i can find one later. Anyway one thing at a time... I went to autozone to find the part i needed and they came back with not a vapor pressure sensor but a fuel tank pressure sensor and said it has to be it because its the only sensor in the gas tank. SO before I take my tank off, drain it, take the fuel pump out etc.are the Vapor Pressure Sensor and the Fuel TankPressure Sensor the same thing?
I would need to know the specific code that was present to know if the fuel tank sensor is what is required to repair the truck. Not sure how they could make a comment about you needing a new trans soon. Sounds a bit like scare tactics to me unless you were experiencing problems with your trans. Never heard of a vapor pressure sensor though.
The code is P0452: Evaporative Emission System Pressure Sensor/Switch Low. As for my tranny, when i drive on the freeway for awhile then drive around normal traffic it slips hard in 1st then lighter in 2nd and so on.
Ah ok (regards to the trans).
P0452 Explained should help you out with that code. Have a read and let me know if you have any questions.

eh it only cost me 35 bucks... its worth a try. Better than letting the shop do it for 700.... Ill check the wires too. Ill print out that link you gave me and poke around.
