Vapour lock
Does it drive at all? Check the hose/tube that goes to your intake, should be about a foot long with a 90° angle on the end of it. See if it is connected to the intake or maybe it is cracked. Sorry, I am also pretty new to Blazers so don't know much but thougt I coudl try to help ya!
Good luck!

Good luck!
With a '96, it could be a number of things. I would do the simple stuff first. Clean the MAF (mass air flow) sensor as it may be dirty causing false airflow readings to the PCM which can manifest itself as a host of drivability concerns. The MAF sensor is in your intake ductwork right behind the airbox. Take it out and then take it apart. Using some sensor safe throttlebody cleaner, spray the cleaner on the little elements being VERY careful not to touch the elements. If you break one of the elements, you'll have to get a new sensor to the tune of $250+ (ouch!).
This sounds very similar to what happens when the EGR (exhaust gas recirculator) valve starts to go. It is the soda can lookin' thing between the alternator and the A/C compressor. Grab yourself a new gasket and pull it off. Get some carbon cleaner and spray the insides. If it's really dirty, you may have to scrub it with an old toothbrush to get the carbon off of it. You'll especially want to concentrate on the pintle area (sealed off hole that can be opened up by pushing on the pintle). If this is hanging open, it could cause an off idle stumble as you describe.
Good luck and let us know!
