Pettyfog - mike98blazer..... I agree that my guess may be off. I hope though that he would read all responses before jumping into the fuel pump purchase. I made my response based on my own exp. But yes you are right, I missed that he didn't test the pressure....good call.

Okay, but part of the problem is the pump motor won't run connected to the harness. That makes it tough to check on the specifics you spoke of earlier. I did do individual resistance tests and got .8 ohms on both the black and gray going from the fp 2 pin hookup to the four pin hookup at the main connection on the top of the unit.

I'm not trying to be stupid here, but this is all new to me. The last time I worked on a fuel system, it unbolted from the engine block. I am grateful for you all taking the time to help.

if the pump wont run on the harness, and you elec connections and values are good then i am thinking pump..i dont know of anyway of testing the pump short of hooking it up to another power supply.
