which way does the distributor rotor mount
It will only go on one way. On the bottom side of the rotor there are two nibs that go into the holes directly inwards of the two screw holes. If you try to put it on the wrong way the nibs will not fall into the holes. Just to be clearer. If you have the distributor out look for a white mark above the gear. Align the dimple on the lower side of the gear with this white mark. If you have the rotor installed it should be pointing towards the number 6 cast into the distributor base where you mount the rotor. Good luck.
ok that's not my issue then, truck won't start but cranks over, fuel press. 60 and holds, replaced crank and cam sensors, I have spark but looks weak. Can the coil be sending a weak spark? I know you can ohm them out but can't find a test for mine. I don't have 4 pins on the coil only 2 the one side is blanked off. so just tried to ohm from the top pin to the plug to the dist. and got nothing.
