Weird scraping noise then a bang!
the other day i was driving down the road a section of the road was tore up and new stone put done and steamrolled over and i noticed the truck seemed really swayin on the dirt which didn't seem to bad.. i swerved the truck a little back and forth and everything seemed ok.. then when i hit the pavement again it sounded like something metalwas scraping the pavement.. pulled over and checked everything underneath and couldn't see anything unusual.. went to my dad's to do a more thorough check and when i pulled in you could hear a little clunkin noise from the front end somewhere with some minor clicking like a side axle was gone.. checked everything and it seemed fine.. i went to back out of the driveway and after about 20ft there was a loud bang.. checked again and ok (to me anyway)..i then went to a dirt road to check out the 4wd and that seemed fine.. that is until i tried totake itout of 4wd... i hit the 4hi button and it seemed like it came out but when i hit the pavement you could hear a loud "whirring" noise like the truck was still in 4wd but a way lower gear like 4lo (i had it in 4hi).. it did this for about 20ft of pavement then the load bang again and everything seemed fine..
my question is could this be the side axle..??? and also i just had an oil change about an hour before it happened and i was wondering if something overgreased could have done this..?? or could it be the drivetrain.. i just had the 2 rear universals (1 supposedly ceased solid and the other was shot)replaced and the front pinion shaft seal replaced (leak).. but i noticed that sometimes when slowing down and the truck drops down to a lower gear and ihit the gas again you can hear a small clunk from the rear end (i think).. anyway that's enough of a read for 1 post lol
THX to anyone and everyone in advance

the garage did all the work under warranty.. but all the work wasin the rear except forthe front pinion shaft seal.. and that's where the bang sounded like it came from.. the front drivers side that is.. another question..?? are they known for "lag-sloppy-play" in the rear ends when slowing down and turning and accelerating again..???
