what is this hose that goes from the intake to the passenger side valve cover? and what is it for?

it will casue problems if its disconected, at least i was having motor troubles, some loss of power, found that that was disconnected i reconnected it and my problem disappeared

PCV valve maybe? itssomething to do with ventilation or emissions

its not the pcv because the pcv is on the drivers side this goes to the passenger side...i took it out of the valve cover and its just a sraight trough tube

I believe that is the breather hose for the valve covers

It returns the oil vapors (blow by)back into the fresh air intake system to recycle them, thus eliminating any outside polution.
