I want to buy a transmission cooler kit on truckperformance.com and they have two sizes. One with 3/8 barbfitting and the other with 6 an. I have a 1997 4wd 2dr blazer. Which one is the right one?

3/8" hose barb. The 6an is a threaded connection requiring custom hoses to be made up... I purchased a cooler from Advanced Auto and needed to purchase a fitting kit to install it on the radiator side. The fittings adapted from the threads on the radiator and upper trans line to the 3/8" hose barb. I had to work like hell to find the proper kit though... Autozone was the only one that had it, but they refused to acknowledge the fact that they actually had it (stupid people!)...

Ok... This is the fitting kit that you need:
AutoZone - Hayden fitting kit - 240390
Advanced Auto - Imperial/Hayden Fitting Kit - 240390
I'm not sure if it's available from other stores. I bought that and the Hayden Imperial Maxi-Cool 7-3/4"x11"x3/4"thick stacked plate cooler - Hayden Maxi-Cool XL - 243007.
I bought it from Advanced Auto, but they did not carry the fitting kit. Here's the link to advanced auto's website - Advanced Auto - Hayden Maxi-Cool XL - 243007
