Steel line can be repaired with compression fittings. Cut out the bad, patch in the new.
The placement of the 3 lines on the switch will need to be checked. Engine at idle, trans in park, select 2WD. Only one of the 3 nipples on the vacuum switch will hold vacuum. In the rubber connector, the line with engine vacuum goes to that nipple. Next, select 4WD. The fitting you located in the previous step will now be connected to one of the other nipples on the switch, that second nipple goes to the actuator under the battery tray. The remaining vacuum line goes to the remaining nipple on the switch.
