Default what FOB?

just curious if anyone knows what year and models have the same door remotes that fit my 1998 Blazer LS 4 door? I never got one when i bought the car ( used of course ) , but the RPO code says it came with remote door locks so i'm looking for one..
Thanks...
James

You have to get the FCC ID off the RKE module that is mounted on the driver side lower hush panel behind the DLC (data link connector). It will have an 'R' at the end. The proper transmitter will have a 'T' on the end.

hmm.. I dunno if I would know the control box you speak of.. the FCC number has the transmitter number on it? Sorry, this is my first blazer and I am not to knowledgeable on it's components and locations. I searched on Ebay for a FOB and there are so many that say fits 98 blazer but history has shown that many sellers have a ( fits Blazer ) or any other vehicle in the description even if it doesn't.

Open the door of your truck. Remove the screws holding the plastic cover that is located under the steering column. Pull it down, and you'll see the RKE module just behind the OBD2 DLC port that sticks out of the plastic piece.
