Default What is this part called? Some exhaust tube on the engine

It comes out of the intake manifold and goes back around the engine into the exhaust I think (very crowded in that area) and it's wrapped in asbestos or fiberglass or something... Anyway the fitting on this pipe was frozen and while removing it I actually twisted this whole tube and bent it out of shape. Please let me know what I should be asking for at the parts store

why not take a pic of your engine the one you uploaded is for a marine engine with a different setup. but if i had to guess the tube your talking about is connected to your left exhaust manifold. (drivers side) it feeds exhaust to the intake to help with egr function or to help heat the manifold. look it up in your chiltons or the haynes

Probably EGR tube. My son replaced his a 6-8 months ago. We couldn't find an aftermarket replacement (i.e. Napa, Autozone, etc) and had to go to Chevy dealer. I think the part itself was $150+ and it's a PITA to install.

Its an EGR valve..... the car will run perfectly fine if you just plug both ends like that picture shows. It is a purely emissions based part. The only consequence will be you will have slightly worse emissions.
