A friend of mine wants to sell his 97 blazer to me for parts for my 2004 Blazer. My question is will things like the windshield fit? According to my research yes, but could someone verify that, it's also a 4.3 CSPI like my 04 blazer, so will engine parts (spider injector, regulator, etc) fit? Any other advice or experiences would be appreciated.

The windshield will probably fit, but the fuel management system is quite different and you do not want to go backwards. Major internal engine parts are the same, but the engine wiring harness is different.
I suggest passing unless the '04 needs chassis parts. Most electrical parts are different.

The windshield on my 04 has 7-8 chips, crack lines not enough to reflect or obscure vision but bad. My muffler is 98% shot. The 97 windshield is perfect, 2 month old muffler, good tires and wheels. My 04 factory radio now likes to eat cd's, and I need a drivers side recline lever. Those items are all I am interested in.
