I'm working on fixing the horn on a 97 Blazer. I took the airbag out, and there's a little white rod that should be in one of the holes in the steering wheel. I believe that rod is what switches on the horn. However, for some reason, the previous owner took it out, and I need a new one. In order to get a new one, I need to know what it's called. Help!

I believe there's a difference between tilt and non-tilt assemblies, but here's an idea of what the GM horn contactor plunger may have looked like.

If it were me, I'd pull the wheel off of a blazer at the ole "U-pick U-save" salvage yard and get it there.
