Default Where does this broken wire go? HELP!

I will upload pics when i get home. But i started my 99 blazer today and it was misfiring. Great. So i go to my moms to get some tools and pull the cap off and see there is alot of corrosion on the terminals and rotor looks like it could be replaced as well. So im looking around by the distributor and i see a Black wire with a white stripe that is bare on the end and not connected to anything. I looked at the ignition block in the distributor all wires there. I also looked at the connector going to to oil pressure sensor and all good there too. I see that there are two wires that seem to be grounded to the metal part of the intake mani on the passenger side near the distributor. Is this black/white wire also a ground? Can someone with a like year blazer just peak under there hood and take a look? You should be able to see it from passenger fender looking back toward the distributor. I can post some pics later tonight. Thanks in advance for any help at all.

cant really tell what that wire goes to from the pics but it may be a ground wire to the back of the head..the wires that ground are small and bunched up on a couple 5/16 or 3/8 ring connectors.or it could be a sensor wire...(stretch it to see whats near by).misfires will come from no spark ,bad plugs /wires, cap n rotor, fuel issues.lack of combustion..the list goes on..without more info my guess is as good as yours...

I was going to say that as well. Sure looks like it was pulled out of a connector of some sort.

Car seems to run great now. If either of you have them same gen blazer could you go n look in that area n tell me if there are 2 or 3 ground wires in that area they attach to the instake not the back of the block. I check all the sensors around there like the ignition module thing in the distributor and the oil pressure sensor... I can't see any other wires or sensors in that area.

Ok but what i want to know is if this wire is indeed a ground cause if it is ill just ground it to the block elsewhere.
