I was under my 98 blazer the other day and i noticed what seemed like a ground wire broken and extremely brittle. its fastened just above the evap canister (drivers side above rear bumper). Id like to replace it, i just dont know where the other end goes...

A picture would help, but other than that, is there anything not working? Especially in that area? That would be a good clue!

 

so the on the hose on the right is the fuel filler neck and the cable that im asking about is the one closer to the top of it

it is extremely hard to see in that photo, what is the year/make/model?
it could be the ground strap to prevent static when filling up.

Oh ya, and its on a 98 blazer 4 door 4x4

 

well im assuming it is the fuel line ground, i would just like to know where i should run a new ground cable too, im assuming there is a connection somewhere on the frame, i just cant locate it. Any one know?

 

its probably on the top of the frame. probably doesnt matter where you ground it, body or frame its all connected. i see them things broken all the time
